A day of sharp thinking on resilience, innovation and where workspace goes next — and why tenant experience is now the operator’s growth lever.
London, United Kingdom – May 2026 – Resonate CX joined operators, investors and advisors from across the UK flexible workspace sector at Rethinking Flex, the Flexible Space Association’s 2026 Annual Conference, held on 12 May 2026 at Convene, 200 Aldersgate, London.

The Conversations Shaping Flexible Workspace in 2026
The conference theme — Rethinking flex: Resilience, innovation and the evolution of workspace — brought the industry together around the questions operators are actually wrestling with in 2026: business rates pressure, the market outlook, talent and progression in the sector, and where AI genuinely helps a workspace business grow.
Sessions across the day included a senior HMRC Valuation Office representative on business rates, one of the sector’s most persistent operator concerns; a market outlook conversation between Tim Burke, Editor of Estates Gazette, and Charlie Green, CEO of Workspace Group; a career progression panel featuring Arena Offices, TRC, Clockwise and Workthere; and a resilience discussion with Alan Pepper, CEO of Orega, Andrew Butler of FigFlex, and Andrea Kolokasi. The day was co-hosted by Freddie Fforde, Founder of Patch, and Natalie Lovett, VP UK & Ireland at WeWork.

Why Tenant Experience Is Becoming a Growth Lever
For Resonate CX, the day reinforced a pattern the platform sees across the flexible workspace sector: in a market where fit-out, location and price are increasingly matched, the difference between a tenant who renews and a tenant who quietly leaves is experience — and most operators only find out which one they have when the notice arrives.
“Every operator in that room is competing on the same square metres. What they are not competing on equally is whether they know how their tenants feel while there is still time to do something about it,” said Mita Bedi, CEO & Co-Founder of Resonate CX. “Occupancy is a lagging indicator. Tenant sentiment is the leading one.”
From Tenant Feedback to Retention
Resonate CX works with flexible workspace and commercial real estate operators across the UK, running real-time tenant feedback programmes that surface friction early, route it to the person who can fix it, and close the loop before renewal season becomes a retention problem.
